Maestra Grace brings her 67+ years of life experiences to her work as a traditional healer, advocate, and community elder. As a mother, grandmother, auntie, and sister, she has hard-earned wisdom, compassion, and deep love for family, culture, and community. She listens with an open heart and shares from a place of direct understanding of profound losses and exhilarating victories. Grace will hold sacred space with you and for you with healthy boundaries and will give you feedback with kind honesty.  She encourages a thoughtful blending of traditional Indigenous healing with your doctor's conventional medical treatments, as appropriate. Rather than an either/or approach, she seeks to educate the community and healthcare providers about the appropriate inclusion of Curanderismo cultural healing interventions with Western conventional medicine to address the whole person: body, emotions, mind, relationships, and spirit. Clients referred to Grace by their physicians receive support that can help enhance their response to conventional treatment. She coaches and collaborates with mental health therapists to help them decolonize their practice, address issues that arise when working with clients with unique spiritual needs, and to help them provide culturally appropriate and humble services to the Mexican, Chicane, Native, Indgenous, and Latino/Hispanic community. She welcomes everyone into her circle of care.
